The Method
In 2017, Reformation opened its doors in Paris. Our mission: to provide a high value-added Pilates experience that maximizes efficiency, in a space where quality service is our priority.
Pilates transforms the body and clears the mind. Inspired by the original method that Joseph Pilates called "Contrology," our approach marries precision, fluidity, and finesse, in order to provide an intelligent and sensorial training experience that evolves with you.
Pilates machines accompany every movement and as a result the body's evolution is intense, complete, and profound.
The flow of each session creates a sense of harmony between body and spirit, allowing you to find a transformational, life-changing alignment.
Classes
Reformer, Tower or Combo?
We work with the two most emblematic Pilates machines: Reformer and Tower. Recently, we added the Combo: the Combo brings together the best of both. These machines compliment and respond to one another. Classes can be combined as you wish.
Reformer
Dynamic, fluid, technical. Ideal for strengthening the core, improving balance.
Tower
Excellent for standing exercises, combining strength and flexibility, working muscle groups differently.
Combo
One machine, two axes, myriad variations. A complete workout, precise and technical.
What level should I choose?
Level I
Ideal for beginners and anyone who wants to review the fundamental exercises and master the basics safely.
This class provides a full-body workout with or without the use of accessories (weights, elastic bands, etc.) and will build your confidence using the machines.
Level II
Ideal for students who have mastered the foundational exercises and want to advance in fluidity and intensity.
This level combines Pilates fundamentals with rhythmic and engaging sequences that tone the whole body (inversions, complex coordination).
Level III
Intended for very advanced practitioners, this class will push you to your limits while refining your technique to the highest level.
This class has a sustained, demanding rhythm that will test your whole body. A class to challenge yourself, with no down time.
Which class should I take?
Instructor's advice: The star of the Pilates machines: perfect for obtaining quick benefits and making regular progress in your practice.
Reformer is without a doubt the most iconic of all the Pilates machines. The moving mat and the modifiable springs provide a playground of infinite possibilities: resistance, fluidity, precision. Each exercise engages the center of the body, refines your placement and improves coordination. Whether lying down, sitting, or even standing, you'll discover a multitude of sensations and variations. It is a full body workout, demanding but accessible, with exercises that combine strengthening movements and control, with elegance.

FAQ
Pilates is a muscle strengthening method focused on deep engagement, it is both gentle and demanding. The method relies on six foundational principles: alignment, control, concentration, breath, precision, and fluidity. Instead of swelling your muscles, the goal is to tone and lengthen, all while improving your strength and posture.
You'll gain muscle tone, flexibility, and stability. Pilates places a special focus on the muscles of the center, which will tone your core and better support your back. Arms and legs are also engaged, creating a harmonious and balanced silhouette. Many students also report improved posture as well as a lighter quality to their movements.
True story: Joseph Pilates developed his method on machines first! The Reformer, Tower, and Combo are not, thus, a modern innovation but rather the origin of the method. Pilates machines allow you to adjust resistance in order to adapt the level of the exercise, they guide your movements, correct imbalances, and bring a playful element to your workout: hundreds of exercise variations so that you make progress without getting bored!
Absolutely! Pilates is for everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes. We recommend starting with our Level I classes. You'll quickly become addicted…
Reformer is a mat mounted onto springs, it glides back and forth and allows you to adapt your session.
Tower, is fixed to the wall and proposes another approach still based on the same principles.
Combo is a hybrid Pilates machine that brings together, in one apparatus, two pillars of the method: Reformer and Tower. This machine allows you to deepen your practice, while still respecting the foundation of Pilates. Our combo classes are available from beginner to advanced, exclusively at our Saint Sulpice location.
These three machines provide a full body, low impact, work-out and are appropriate for students of all levels. The ideal approach is to mix and match as the variety will allow you to progress and the machines are complementary to one another!
We are always delighted to welcome newcomers to the studio! We offer a buy one get one free deal for your first class. This is the best way to test out the method!
Very little! We have everything ready for you.
Arrive 5 minutes early so we can show you around the studio and explain the rules.
Bring a comfortable outfit, avoid zippers that can bother you while you're on the machines.
Don't forget a pair of socks, socks are mandatory for all our classes. If you forgot yours, no worries! We have some very pretty grip socks available for sale at our studios.
Finally, a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
At the studio, everything has been thought out with your comfort in mind: showers, L:a Bruket toiletries, towels, and even some snacks to replenish you after (or energize you before) your class.
Yes! Showers, as well as all the necessary details to leave the studio refreshed and ready to tackle your day. L:a Bruket hygiene products, a hair dryer and towels are available and free to use during your visit.
These classes are intended for our most experienced Pilates practitioners, as they are fast-paced and technical. Our Level I classes are for those clients who are starting their Pilates machines practice. These classes provide a full-body workout; not only will you not get bored, mastering the fundamentals will make your experience at the studio more efficient and enriching. Level I classes will provide you with a solid foundation, before progressing to our more advanced levels.
Trust our experience: covering the basics is the way to great results in the long-term! Of course, if you have any questions, we are here to help.
If you have an injury we will do our best to take care of you during class. You must nevertheless have the authorization of your doctor to practice sports. Be sure to alert your instructor beforehand so that we can modify your exercises during class!

Less than 24 hours before class: if a spot opens up we will contact you directly by telephone or email. If you can't make it, you won't lose the credit.
Yes, we offer solo and duo private sessions. You can make a request either at the studio in person, or via the online form, and we will follow up with you as soon as possible for the next steps.
You can cancel your reservation for a class up to 24 hours before the class starts. Once this deadline has passed, the reservation cannot be modified and your credit will be lost. This rule exists to ensure a quality class experience as well as to respect the commitment of the teacher and other students as classes are capped at 12 participants maximum.
Great question! We tend to believe that consistency is key and that it is better to come once a week on a long term basis, than to come 3 times a week for one month. The ideal rhythm that we recommend is 2 to 3 times a week.
Yes! Classes taught in English are marked in the schedule as “IN ENGLISH.” Classes without this note are conducted in French by default.
STUDIO ETIQUETTE
In order to make sure every one of your sessions is harmonious, safe, and efficient, our studio etiquette depends on a couple of simple habits. Follow the guide, and we'll take care of the rest.
Arrive 5 minutes early: you'll have the time to settle down and catch your breath. Once class has started, it is no longer possible to join the class for security reasons and the comfort of the group.
Socks are mandatory for our group and private classes. We recommend wearing a comfortable and form-fitting outfit to facilitate corrections during class. Avoid wearing zippers that can be uncomfortable while lying down and risk damaging the machines. Forgot your socks? No worries, we have some at the studio.
Turn on airplane mode and place your personal affairs in a locker. A calm and focused environment is essential for class. Photos and videos are not permitted during class.
After class, wipe down the machine and accessories you used. Spray and towels are provided at each machine.
Return the accessories to their place and replace the springs and straps to their original position, in preparation for the next person. (The instructor will be able to advise you.)
Always let the instructor know about any injuries, pain, or if you are pregnant. They will do their best to adapt the exercises for you. Depending on the case, a medical authorization might be requested.
You can cancel your class up to 24 hours before the start time via your client account. Once this deadline has passed, the class is considered used.
Class is full? Sign up for our waitlist. If a spot opens up more than 24 hours before class, you'll be automatically added and sent an email. If a spot opens up less than 24 hours, we'll contact you directly.
Showers, towels and hygiene products are available to use at the studio. You can pack light, and leave feeling even lighter.
Write to us or stop by and visit: we're here to help. Thanks to every one of you for your help in keeping the Reformation Pilates experience smooth and pleasant.
